When I point my browser to the URL at the end of the commercial (gmev.com), nothing comes up. Now that GM is getting serious again about EVs, this seems like it might be an opportunity for domain squatting.
You kill me! These ads are awesome! So sad that the EV1 was killed - great car, my neighbor had one. He was sad to have to turn it back in. The original electric car and still looks awesome.
Uhm most of the state of California are transplants from the Tri-State area - so I guess you are no different than most of the state population!
From how long ago? More Tri-State Residents Are Leaving the Area Than Moving In, New Study Finds – NBC New York
Caly and NYS are both in population decline as are about 8 other states. I have a brother behind the golden curtain trying to figure out how to tunnel out, but he’s hindered by spouse, kids, job. Co-workers in North Carolina inform me that the state is filling up with “half-backs” - or New Yorkers who go to Florida and come half-way back after discovering what the term “relative humidity” means.....
i wish we were. all i read about is the need for more low income housing. if you build it, they will come...
no - taxes there are on the rise. We'll either be in one home south of Nashville or one near flathead lake MT. i rest my case .
Found another EV1 sales brochure, so that makes six different ones, so far. A lot of work for a car that GM wanted to get rid of.
Funny how many people are still insisting that GM killed the electric car......and how few people leased them. Too bad GM doesn’t have the foresight to invest more time and money in BEVs.........
I came to within a whisker of taking an offered job in Brentwood. Every time I drive through (or...around!) Nashville I sorta think I dodged a bullet, although I’ve always LOVED central TN. Most of the refugees in The Volunteer State come from the other coast...but western states like ID, WY and MT (like TX) are experiencing growing some pains - enough to joke about border walls...
So true .... Tent Cities in & around the L.A. area have grown by Miles and Miles. Build a tent, and they will come. Our ridiculous Governor spends millions & millions to 'help' the problem out, then 60% of the cash goes to political Think Tank "friends" - pretending to solve the solution rather than the money going to the solution. His latest brainstorm was to work on legislation to prohibit evictions of people who lose their jobs and can't pay rent, forcing the property owners to default on their mortgage. Soon the banks, aka the government will own more & more of the properties, more & more like China. We were in part going to live off of the rent we could get, but now we are just going to sell out of Cali instead. Maybe we should put the sales money in an electric car company . A couple years ago I found a very cool shiny red ev1 jacket on eBay. It was NOT selling for hundreds. .
I recently watched the 1998 movie Enemy Of The State and at the part where a bird watcher was looking at a video he recorded of a Congressman being murdered, the audio for an EV1 commercial comes on. "All new, designed for today, the electric car is here, a sedan for you".
The scene in enemy of the state - Victoria secrets store - where Will Smith is talking to a model for a nighty? That's my youngest sister in law - which is now in her mid 50s. Time marches on
