Gen 2 Key Fob with Gen 3?

    Brand new here! Owned an '08 Prius and upgraded to a 2015. Found one of the gen 2 key fobs after selling the '08, and I'm wondering if anyone has tried (successfully) to reprogram and use a gen 2 key fob with a gen 3 vehicle.

    Any help or pointers would be extremely helpful!
