While the enging was running, the "Key Not Detected" message came out when I opened and closed the door, I have tried to drive with the message on, but it keep beeping, so I have to switch off the car and start again. I haven't left the car and the key was in my pocket all the time, and I have just recently changed a new key battery, does anyone konw what caused this problem and how to fix this? This already happened a few times in a month
While it is possible that his new battery is bad or improperly installed........ He DID say that he put in a new one. First thing one should try in this situation is the second (spare) remote/key. And if you don't have a second working FOB, you NEED to get one. If they both fail or get lost, it is REALLY expensive to get it running again with NO working keys. Call around to some locksmiths. Many of them also know about car FOBs. P.S. I can also sometimes be caused by what you have in the same pocket with the FOB.
Depends on what battery they put in, the battery could just as well be bad = low battery = not detected I bargain hunted cheap batteries off of Amazon and I'd be lucky if they last a few weeks. (don't bargain hunt batteries and also if not bargain hunting, make sure the batteries were recently manufactured)
