I recently checked the LAN Monitor (just for kick) and got the following code: 01-DB 190-8B-1. Hoping someone could help me decipher it, specifically the "8B" part. I recently swapped out oem wheels for steel wheels (with winter tires) so I got the tpms warning light came on. So, at first I thought the codes has to do with the tpms sensor. However, according to a diagnostic pdf I found it might not be. The pdf basically saying: 01-DB is MODE SENSE ERROR TROUBLE AREAS 1. POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT OF COMPONENT THAT HAS STORED THE CODE 2. AVC-LAN CIRCUIT BETWEEN MULTIDISPLAY AND COMPONENET SHOWN BY SUB CODE 3. COMPONENT WHICH HAS STORED THIS CODE 190 says the affected component is "AUDIO H/U" Everything seems to be working fine as far as I could tell by the way. Thanks.
The Repair Manual (more info), under Audio/Visual/Telematics: Navigation: Navigation System: Diagnosis Display Detailed Description, explains the parts of each code shown on the LAN Monitor screen: Segment [2 digits]: Target logical address DTC [2 digits]: DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) Sub-code (device address) [3 digits]: Physical address stored with DTC Connection check no. [2 digits]: Connection check number stored with DTC DTC occurrence [1 digit]: Number of times same DTC has been recorded (I’ve inserted the number of hexadecimal digits in each part.) In the codes in your photo (01-DB 190-99-F, 01-D5 190-24-9, and 01-DB 110-FE-7), the DTCs (01-DB and 01-D5) both indicate AVC-LAN communication problems. The device addresses show that the problem has occurred between the multi-display (EMV, address 110) and the radio receiver (address 190). For troubleshooting instructions, see the Multi-display Communication Error procedure in the Repair Manual. As you may know, the diagnostic mode on the multi-display applies only to the audio and navigation systems; it’s not a general diagnostic or indicating system for the vehicle. If you’re trying to solve a problem unrelated to audio or navigation—for example, if the master warning light (⚠️) is on—you’ll need to connect a Toyota Techstream diagnostic system, or equivalent, to scan for DTCs stored in the car’s other computers.
