    hi!

    Just wanna share my journey in modding our V.
    Got it new around 2 years ago. Some mods will be mostly for looks and some are functional.
    Also non of the mods will improve MPG just so you know. lol

    first mods:
    • HKS style X coilovers
    • 19" Koenig WRV
    • Prius Alpha JDM visors
    • OEM modded by Gracio & Co. Tail lights *1st gen style tails with tinted purple reverse and turn signals

    since the trunk has a horrible light I decided to get some garax rear LED hatch light.
    Really big difference in light output a must mod for sure.
    The cover I got is dark grey so I spray painted it black to somewhat match the hatch cover

    Need to remove the trim to run wires and connect it to the tiny trunk light

    The included switch is great option
    When you open the hatch it automatically turns on when the button is ON

    Continuing the functional mods.
    I bought and imported some JDM oem G's headlights from japan.
    Might be the first in the US with this headlight? It features black inners and white side markers
    It also has self leveling but my car doesn't have it so didn't wire it up =(
    Everything works low beam, hi beam, etc..

    powered it up for the first time with the help of a friend
    LOVE that headlight DRL. Makes a big difference looks wise

    I refreshed the interior of my Prius v with these black dash enhancement from a local guy, who also owns a Prius v. He shortened and "slammed" the shifter and made a small "micro" shifter knob for me.

    It looks and functions almost totally different from the original dash. IMG_7641.JPG

    i have been looking for G's parts (headlights, bumpers, side skirts) DamN!! i am drooling over your car right now! :p:p:p

    i was at the 2018 SEMA and i saw your car there. still trying to find a way to import those items from japan as well.

    Prius v black panel-knob-start 008.JPG My husband, our friend and I sourced a few used JDM black start-stop buttons from Japan. He stripped the panel to the bare plastic and refinished it with an air brush, machined a black "Duracon" JDM styled shift knob and changed the entire look of the "v's" dash

    Duracon knob-black Prius v panel 015.JPG He also made "Duracon" shift knobs in several different colors. The red one might look good with the red G button.

    I double checked it from a friend and japan and he said the one without the light is for 2017 and up cars like the new prius, camry, yaris... the new PRIUS GR also has a push start that doesnt have a light

    We just bought a new to us 2017 Prius V Five and have been looking too as there is NO light in the cargo area. I've been searching all the forums here and seems that most mod posts are at least a couple years old or older. But I did find one site that sells the kit. Only drawback is it's in Japan. I did get the webpage to translate by using Chrome. I'd be curious if you decide to purchase how that worked out.

    Well seems I cant post a link as a noob and this is my fist post... And it wont let me "start a conversation" either.... gotta love technology.. maybe you can "start a conversation"?

    I bought ours more than five years ago when Rakuten was a channel to Japanese online sales. The shipping charges were pretty reasonable. There may be other tools of that sort available.
