I have my Prius on order. BUT I really don't know if the Prius is right for ME. I would be happy to rent or borrow (with compensation) your 2004 Prius for a week or two! Thanks, Jim
If you go with Budget, make sure that they get you a 2004 model. I rented a Prius from them recently, and though the agent told me that "Budget's cars are always the newest model," they ended up giving me a 2003 Classic. Not the most productive test drive.
Jim.. you might try this rental company as well.. they show Prii in Phoenix http://www.evrental.com/reservations.html 1-877-EV-RENTAL
It's been 5 months ago but I rented one from Tempe Toyota for 49.99 a day. Unlimited mileage, and I put 600 miles on the car in 2 days! Good Luck, Dave

Too bad. You should have switched cars since they charge well over the price of an average car for Prii. Of course when I rented a 2003, it WAS 2003 so maybe they can't get away with that now since it is only somewhat similar to the current model. For Jim, Since you aren't in the "I'm arriving at the airport and need a car, I'll use the oppportunity to test a 2004 Prius" mode, I suggest you do as I did. Call Enterprise, tell them you want a 2004 Prius for a week, you don't care when, just let you know when one will be available. The weekly rate for my rental was $276 tax included.
Thanks to all who responded! When you call EVRental, Budget answers the telephone. They say that the Prius is available but when they check it is not available through the end of this year! I'll try Tempe Toyota. Camelback Toyota HAD them as rentals but sold them! Jim
