My new to me 2010 Prius with low miles 72k is it great shape and I claybarred it and waxed the entire car today but the black rear spoiler has some oxidation and water spots. I tried clay bar, scratch out, and a coat of wax and it still does not look like I want it to. Any other tips? I do have some Wipe New but not sure if that will work or if it is plastic or not?

Now that you have a coat of "wax" on it, any more DIY attempts are likely to be disappointing.
Having it professionally painted is probably the only good solution.

Like my dermatologist says, "Stay out of the Sun and apply Sun screen every day". After 9 years in the brutal California sun my spoiler had also become unsightly. I purchased a NEW one from Toyota and installed it using one of the very fine Prius Chat instruction stickies. Dealing with a paint and body shop would probably cost about the same (here in SoCal).

Another option would be to have the spoiler professionally "wrapped". You could choose a carbon fiber weave, flat black, glossy, change the color, or whatever. Let us know what route you took. Good luck.

Mine did the same...black 2010. The rest of the car shines great. I'm thinking you could take it off and rattle can it. The other solution is no solution...use a buffer and wax it then be done with it

IF you can get it off, you should be able to get a body shop to shoot it pretty cheap.
And prep is half the job.
If you don't prep it right, you will be "rattle canning" it about once a year.

Yes, new paint or a wrap will work but before doing that will it polish like cloudy headlights do when polished? Clay bar is only a surface cleaner. You need polishing compounds. Could do it by hand or with random orbital machine. Start with the least aggressive compound and move to more aggressive until you start seeing it shine then reverse the order to least aggressive compound to get a finely polished surface. Then wax. A local detailer would have all the materials and machine and probably would give you a price for just the spoiler.
