Hey Guys, Looking for a little help here, I broke my wife's Prii tonight on the way home. Hard acceleration, and a thump bang and the Check Hybrid System lights all come on. We were able to drive the car home, but gas engine only.. it runs all the time.. it's kinda hard to describe, but it seems like it had a little help as we seemed to pick up a little mpg on the freeway.. but it's not showing any help from the electric on the display.. the big battery is not showing that it's charging despite the engine running.. the car got us home tonight.. and can probably make it to our dealership.. I tried the reset of the system with the negative 12 volt disconnect and reconnect.. all that did was mess up my settings on the radio now too. Is there anything else I can check before taking it to the dealership? I don't have a diagnostic reader to check codes.. The car is current and upto date on all the recalls.. I wonder if there is a fuse or protection device that needs reset or if I toasted an inverter? Fortunately we managed to still get it home.. Thanks in advance.. Joe
I think it's the IPM that died.. We have the Warranty Enhancement paperwork and the description fits to a T
