Can Speedometer be adjusted

    But yesterday I encountered one of those temporary speed indicator devices that the city had set up, and it showed the same speed as the Prius's speedometer.

    And you can be certain that it was calibrated to 1/10 of a mile and re-calibrated often. :ROFLMAO:

    When I look back-and-forrth between our (satellite nav) garmin and the speedo, there's typically one or two kmh discrepancy. This is on highway, going around 80 kmh (~50 mph)..

    I agree and can confirm this as well. I have the ScanGauge connected in my PiP all the time for extra gauges, and the dash speedo (and Waze, Google Maps, etc) all register a couple KM/h higher than the car does. As others have mentioned, I am sure it is for legal/liability issues, and I also agree that it may save oneself a speeding ticket one day. ;)
