Hi everyone, I'd like to seek your advice and help regarding my 2020 Prius Prime bought in New York. I'm very happy with the car, so happy that I'm taking it with me back to Europe (Spain) in a few months. One of the things that I'm going to be asked for during the Vehicle Technical Inspection is to add rear fog lights. These lights are not mandatory in the US, but that's not the case in Europe. Actually, the Japanese and European Primes have them integrated in the rear reflectors, as Tideland Prius said in his post: Rear Fog Lights - Prius Prime - 911 - Help - Possibilities | PriusChat I have already contacted Toyota here in New York, but I'm running out of time and I'd like to have someone install them before I leave the country. Do you know the parts number? Any chance to find a place to do what Offline did in his 2012 Prius in this post? Installing aftermarket rear fog light | PriusChat Also, if someone has brought his Prius Prime from the US to Europe, I'll be happy to read about the whole process and understand what they could ask you to change. Thank you guys!
Has anyone had any luck with this? I've brought my 2020 Toyota Prius Prime over to Europe (The Netherlands) and they also require the rear fog lamp. I would prefer not to have to resort to aftermarket lights that screw into the bottom of the bumper or something like that. Do you have the part number for the correct assembly? Thanks in advance.
At least in Netherlands, this is not workable advice. Took it to the local Toyota dealer and they said that from what they can tell, the EU rear fog lamp is a different shape from the one that would fit the body on a US Prius Prime
If the fog lamp is hidden in the rear reflectors as stated in the first post, I'm guessing there is differences in those assemblies, or even the entire bumper. It could also simply be a question of space for running the wire. More labor involved, but I would think there are aftermarket lights that can be mounted in the bumper instead of outside it.
