    Probably, but what's a few armed guards going to do . . . .

I understand they have a big second wave up there. The Liberals are on power there.

I didn't know that. I can't figure out why more people don't understand that almost all of us will eventually get this virus.

So just give in? I, for one, am trying darned hard NOT to get it, in hopes there is a better vaccine than universal mask wearing - which isn’t really a vaccine at all if part of the population refuses to wear them.

Luckily, there are some other lakes to drive to or around here. There has to be some Fall drives to use this stuff up. I'll have to re-read the manual to figure out how to put more gas in if and when I drive the gas out of the car. Thanks for the warning about the Canadian Mounties.

Wait. I know. I can siphon some out and put it in my wife's CT200h.

Agreed! That should go without saying. But this unreasoning terror is just crazy. Acting like there's no risk at all is also crazy. I see people alone in their car wearing a mask, and I see people in large crowds not wearing them. And I personally know six people who have gotten the virus. Three of them live in Honduras. I'm sure that there are some I haven't heard about. Several more friends have tested negative after being exposed.

Based on what I saw in IA and NE, their strategy seems to be, “Let’s just all catch it and give it to each other to get it over with.” MN and CO, on the other hand, were clearly taking precautions but, still, I saw blatant disregard in places and went out of my way to limit exposure to them. Turning this back into a car post, I was happy to have a car that has a 600+ mile range, even in the mountains, and enough volume to carry food and clothing for the whole trip.

ON and QC have large numbers (but their populations are also large). The rest of us are faring better. BC and AB are up but hospitalizations are steady. Atlantic Canada's bubble (4 provinces) is working out with very low numbers of new cases and hospitalizations.

Anyway, back to the car. I'm still on my half March/half Nov tank. (last full fill up was Nov)

Yeah, I haven’t driven so little since I lived at home in the 90’s and was a full time student. Normally, I have been driving 35-38k KM per year over the last 20 years or so, but this year.... 7K since January. Part of the change has been that my job this year was mostly work from home anyway, about 60-70% of the time, but since March the travel portion has vanished and it has been 100% at home. ;)

I have filled up my PIP 6 times in the past 6.5 months, and about a tank of that was a ~600km trip in June over one day and filled up a few days ago and my tank is still full. I think I drove 85km the whole month of April. :ROFLMAO: My car has sat for a week or more on multiple occasions, before I take it out for a run just to exercise it, rather than taking the Leaf. As of right now, my car hasn’t moved since Friday. Not bad for a puny 18km range. ;)

I plan to get a Prime one day, but these days the family income is a bit down and have other family priorities with the kids education and paying down debt... So I guess we will see what 2021 brings.(y)

For me, I can't normally get above 5.5kWh. I wonder what I'm doing wrong.
Drive in HV mode. Get a SOC at around 50%$ or so, and just drive in HV. It will slowly use the tank. You don't want the gas to get stale, and if this is from December 2019, you're probably risking it (less so if it's non-ethanol).

Most likely, nothing. 5.0 is my average. Mostly, I get 4.8-5.4. Most of my driving is 50-65 mph with lots of stops. Typical Florida traffic engineering aimed at maximizing fuel use and pollution. If I drive neighborhood streets at 35 mph, I get more like 6 m/kWh in those areas.

Good to know. I started paying a little more attention, and I'm hovering around 5 or so lately. 6 if I'm doing 35mph, just like you.

Since it's finally starting to cool down, it will be interesting to see what effect having the windows down will have as opposed to the air conditioner.

It'll make a noticeable difference at speeds under 40-45 mph. But the Prime's AC is very efficient and doesn't take nearly as big of a bite out of the battery as the PiP's AC.

Yup. My winter hit is less than that of my friend's and colleague's Model 3s. (Two of them vs. one of me in terms of sample size lol).

The 2021 M3 refresh has a heat pump. I'm interested to test and compare as soon as mine arrives. It should help retain a lot more energy especially for those up North.
