I have a HV battery from a wrecked 76k mile Gen 3 Prius for sale. I had purchased this with the intent of transplanting the cells over into my Gen 2 Prius but I had the catalytic converter cut out and it was a writeoff. Located in the SF Bay Area, busbars were removed and voltages looked good. I hadn't done any load testing yet.
What year was that wrecked Gen3, and do the 'date codes' (string of alphanumerics) on each module sequentially match?
What year prius was it from? I might be interested i am probably buying a 2010 with a bad hybrid battery
Unfortunately I don't recall the year of the wrecked vehicle, good call on checking the date codes, SFO. I wish I had known to check for that when buying this, thankfully they all have "08YN6P" which maps to a mfg date of Nov 08, 2012 so maybe it was a 2013 model? I have a +50/-5A power supply available if it would be helpful to do some DCR or capacity testing on a single module but then again - I'm hesitant to imbalance anything.
