Engine clatter on startup

    I have a 2014 Prius base model that has a startup engine knock to address this I replaced the coil packs, sparkplugs , and injectors t were professionally cleaned and I still have a startup engine knock I am stumped with this problem any help will be appreciated. Thanks

    Welcome.

    Search "misfire on start up" and you'll get losts of reading. Clean the entire EGR circuit (cooler, pipe, valve, and small ports in the intake manifold), install a oil catch can, and see if that helps.

    Does it rattle every start up or only acationally
