HMMMM... when i purchased my car (July 2006) the plate "NO PLUGG" was available. Should have gotten it...
Thought of PRIUSNV (think Freud) on my way into work this morning, but I checked the AZ Dept of Transportation and the plate is already taken. Shucks, M PS: KICKGAS is also taken.
My personalized plate is DEV ROOT. DEV are my initials, ROOT is the superuser/administrator under Linux/Unix (which is what I work with all day long), and /dev/root used to be the special device that held the root filesystem for Unix way back in the day. Yes, it's a really really really geeky license plate. There's another Prius in the parking lot at work with the personalized plate of ZFSGUY. If you know anything about Solaris 10, you'll get that reference easily... And yeah, that one is pretty geeky too.
[qu PS: KICKGAS is also taken.
How bout KIXGAS or ZAPPED or JOLTED or NOFUELN or GASPAIN or NOPEC or NOGAS or GOTMPGS Somebody stop me...I'm on a roll
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(BobZ @ Oct 10 2006, 10:04 PM) </div> Who allowed that Prius to get wet?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(BobZ @ Oct 10 2006, 10:04 PM) </div> Dang, I'm jealous. That was my first pick but the State of Wisconsin wouldn't give it to me because they said it was too close to "Kicks nice person" and that wasn't allowed either. ONLY IN WISCONSIN. The conservative capital of the world with regard to at least license plates. I settled for NOFUELN as stated earlier.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Pinto Girl @ Oct 12 2006, 04:40 PM) </div> Reminds me of the old Johnny Carson joke. "What do you get the guy for xmas who has everything - a pack of cigarettes and a pinto lighter." As for my Black/Tan Prius: I original was going to use "GAS LT" with a plate holder that read "Less Filling - More efficient". I did order the plate before my prius order came in. It is ony my van with a holder that read "Yeah, Right, maybe my next vehicle" which in reality did occur. I decided on "NRD GTO" instead. I don't get the high mileage my wife gets in her prius but then I get there faster.
I've been reading priuschat for months now and just had to join to show you guys my tag that finally came in the mail yesterday. I was inspired by one of your members... [attachmentid=5687]
I just ordered: 00FF00-- it's computery and hybridy! None of my friends has understood what it means so far...not even my geeky IT co-workers. I was going to get FF0000, since my car is red, but I thought the people who didn't get it would just wonder why the heck anyone would put "Foo" on their license plate.

VOLTWGN is mine in Washington state. People keep looking at it and ask, "Is that the new Volkswagon"? I guess some people can't read. Those who understand what it says just laugh. Harris
I didn't get a vanity plate, but I have been considering getting a bumper sticker made. How about "My Prius is smarter than your honor student!"
My avatar... in Virginia, btw, we have the option of Parrothead license plates (totally cool), but they only allow six letters/numbers. Of course, "KICGAS" can be both "Kick Gas" and "Kick nice person" if you say it fast enough.
