Prides of Prii have been spotted in other parts of the country but the Prius seems to be a fairly solitary and individual creature in this area. If there are any gregarious individuals in the area that would like to spearhead a meetup feel free to speak up. I may be the moderator but I'm distinctly lacking in organizational and motivational skills. So far we've gotten a good headcount in the forum but not much interest in a physical gathering. In the meantime I'll keep my eye on the the local (Northern Virginia) Prius Meetup site and show up hoping for a quorum. The downside of that is that so far the locations chosen by vote haven't always been ideal for Prius gathering. The last place wasn't even open yet and the parking lot was too crowded at Saturday noon to easily spot other Prii.
I inadvetantly set up the first meeting. Granted only three people showed, and I wasnt one of them, but hey cant have everything. I will gladly help out come september!
And there are at least 15 Prius's in Old Town in Alexandria. And at least three where I work at the Whole Foods in Old Town.I think what the issue is what on earth would one do if a collection of 10 Prius owners showed up at the same place? I can't even get the Prius owners I know to check out the web site. Though I did print out info about to check a battery and I helped someone get a new key working and got their Nav working so it could be changed while driving. Still I couldn't any of these folks to the web site. If anything happens, I would show up....I'd even bring something that would good to eat from Whole Foods. Steve
