Hello again. I was told I can use the auto cruise control even in the City, so I have. Is it better has per mile or am I better to Drive this in the 55 mph area? Also, I can’t always read the monitor, can I adjust the brightness of the screen?
Also, on the dash is MPG. Earlier it read 999.9. On lunch it read 76.9. What is the difference? Why such a drastic change? thanks everyone
The earlier 999.9 sounds like all-electric driving. The later 76.9 sounds like the traction battery charge ran down and it switched to gasoline. How many miles later was this? Did you do any recharging in between?
For simple questions you have, you should consult your owner's manual before asking the community for help. I suggest downloading pdf version of the manual on you computer or phone and use the "search" function to find the appropriate sections quickly. To engage, car need to be at or above ~30mph. In my experience, if I have a lot of stop and go, DRCC does not help the fuel efficiency. Even at smooth moving light traffic without stop at 55mph, I have found I can control the pedal better than DRCC to get better fuel efficiency. I use DRCC only on very long highway drive just to rest my foot. For changing the instrumental cluster light, you can adjust the brightness by the switch on the left side of the steering wheel. If you are talking about the 7" LCD screen in your LE model, then the MENU button on the multimedia, then Display will give you the adjustment choice.
