Oh, I just saw that the old post mentioned something about a trailer.

I've hauled at most 1000lbs and got good milage on the highway (mid 30's I think?). Keep your acceleration and deceleration long and slow and you'll be fine

That's pretty surprising from what others with larger tires have written. Those tires should be significantly heavier than OEM.

Anyway, did you lift just for snow or to travel rough roads? I was recently at a trailhead that several full-size Prii had attained (in presumably dry weather), but I wouldn't take my baby there - shorter wheelbase and no underside battery cable protection make rocky roads a no-go for her. Maybe when I have another 100K on her. ;)

On paper it's heavier and should have an impact (actually was a bit cheaper than oem tires xD) but I see this arm chair speculation a lot and really wonder just how much of is just speculation. Traffic, include be, and just how people drive have such a way bigger impact that I feel that things like tires, roof racks, lift kits, is just mole hills. Hills to be sure...but mole hills.

Lifted for clearance and look. The larger tires required the lift too (driving without them has been tedious)

Did you already post the pics of your upgrade?
I'd love to see how your ride looks now.

Im not the best at taking these.
This is 30mm on the front and back. I actually got in a 40mm for the back as I would like a bit more when hauling a lot but I haven't installed them yet

Where was this measurement taken (I assume full tank of gas but empty of any passengers or cargo)?

I would have gotten the same width but taller.. I would think the taller wheels would get better MPG..
but the friction from the wider tire might offset it..

i'm thinking lower to the ground lets lesss wind into the undercarriage to lower the wind resistance..

    I'd like taller.. but hmm?

    Hi All,
Bought the Prius off road lift kit for my 2014 C.
Now to find a willing competent installer.

I wouldn't have considered Urbana to have enough regular snow just for this. I'm about an hour south and would do it mostly to reduce hitting the skirt on high curbs/parking stops (and getting to some trailheads out west). :)

Would be nice to see before/after pics.

    First-off, that looks awesome!
How extensive was the body modding to remedy the rub? I’m getting my Prius C lifted on Monday, and I’d like to go with the same tire size to maximize the ground clearance and ride height.

Might be a tad late here but outer body required none, did have to take a large hammer to the wheel well and cut some of the wheel well plastics

Just checking about pictures? Also if you changed wheel/tire size at all? Thanks, I’m grinding snow underneath my 2015 C..
