Hey everyone! I wanted to introduce myself as I am new to the forums after getting a new magnetite grey 2020 Prius Prime LE. Just to give you some background, My very first car was a new red 2005 Chevy Malibu which I loved at first, but in the end, I didn’t take all that great care of. It ended up with a little over 128,000 miles on it, yellowing pitted headlights, paint that had started peeling in some places, CD drive no longer worked, and the AC unit stopped blowing cold air. I’m not very savvy when it comes to cars and felt that the money to fix these issues would probably be better used towards a new car, so I figured it was time for an upgrade to a more reliable manufacturer and a more fuel efficient car (plus the incentives helped with the decision, lol). That being said, I want to make sure I take better care of this car, so I figure this would be the best place to be! If you have any tips, things to look out for, or know of good threads I can peruse that would be a great help! Look forward to chatting with all of you!
Welcome to Prius chat. Search the forum in the Prime section that has relevant information to the Prius you have. Plenty of info there on how to maintain your prime. Good luck with your new Prime.
Thanks Ray! I’ll look around. Love the pic by the way, I assume that’s your Prius? I would have preferred the blue color myself, but that color was hard to come by in dealerships near me. The grey is still pretty cool looking though.
That's our Prime. And the pic was taken after adding film to the front of the car and a thorough external clean. Blue magnetism is a great color.
Welcome to PC and congrats on your new purchase. You have the same color and trim of 2020 Prius Prime as mine. I am sure you will enjoy yours as much as mine. You came to the right place to learn all about Prius-things. I am not so much of a car DIYer myself, but try to be frugal and environmentally responsible. The extent of what I am capable of DIY my car cares is very minor regular maintenance only, like tire rotation and oil change. But still, the knowledge offered through this forum helps me make a sound decision on a day to day car care as well as major repair and purchase decisions. And I enjoy chatting.
