107 degees today. Was going to detail the hell out of my car till the heat kicked in. Hiding inside for now. Next two days projected to be over 100 degrees and we should cool down into the 90's by mid next week. Whoop-De-Do!

Red Bullet, Actually it's been roughly 3 weeks since I've installed the solenoid. I live in OC commute to La x5 a week for work... roughly 80 miles round-trip per day. In short, I get the same MPG in "Normal" mode now as when previously in "ECO" with the added drivability! Throttle is much more responsive, ECU switch's from combustion to EV quicker and actually stays in EV longer. The car now drives in a "New" drive mode that is somewhere in between"Normal" - "Power" with the MPG of "ECO".

Currently avg 47-49 MPG in "Normal" mode with 98% of that being fwy traffic.

This is still the older version? Thought they were going to make the newer one with the modification to clear the engine cover.

They did make a newer version. Just make sure when you order it they know your car is NOT a PriusC. I have had the same results for over 6 months now. I don't regret buying the red bullet.

How bad did it end up touching the engine cover? Were you able to put the cover on perfectly fastened?

Yes, it comes with an extended fastner. Very simple and clean. You can't tell the difference.

Honestly it’s not even a big deal . You can either cut a small 3/4”or leave it. BTW QUANTUM solenoid is also the same thing, just a different seller and rebranded.

I sent a message to the seller and this is what he had to say...

We have custom standoff for the gen 3 which mediates this issue. This gives the engine cover a little more breathing room and also can be reversed at anytime without permanent modifications to the cover. We do not do the re-clocked version anymore due to unstable performance.

I hope this answers your question. If you have any questions or concerns please check out our website redbullet.net

As a side note, look underneath just past the rear axle line toward the rear. . . a couple of diffusers molded into the plastic undertray, helping the Prius' airflow management.

Do you have a pic facing directly at the rear of your Prius? I have an Ebay 4-fin diffuser sitting in the garage. I'm debating whether or not to install it.

Finally got some wheels on my 2015! Bought some Rays Super Ecos 17x7 in Formula Silver from another member on the forum. I wrapped them in Yokohama Avid Ascend GT 215/45 and I previously had it lowered on Tanabe DF210 springs along with a Cusco strut bar and TRD Rear sway bar.
