Curious. Were you able to put just the wheel on a scale to get the weight? I bought a set of wheels that were supposed to be 8.5 lbs ea but just weighed them at a little over 10lbs. If yours a lighter, I might be interested Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
I bought the CE28 in a 15x6.5 +45. From my understanding, it should have been 8.11 pounds from a site I found and in addition, the seller in Japan said "about" 3.5kg (7.72 lbs). Just weighed it and it came in at 10lbs 3oz. It's authentic wheels as I had everything stripped and powdercoated a different color so don't have the stickers anymore. Just kinda bummed as I thought it would be lighter The pic has the wheel on a box but I zeroed out the scale before I put the wheel on Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Did you weighted them prior to powder coating!? Sometimes a weight difference could be caused by extra(new) layers of paint. Rays Super Eco Drive Gear 15in rated at 9lb or 4.1kg and it’s a solid statement
From my manufacturing experience where thing has a tolerance. The key word is "About 3.5kg (7.72lbs)" I am sure the seller had no idea, only source of information you a go by is what the manufacture states on their Technical data sheet for the type of wheel.
