Recently installed the Rexing V1P Pro dash am and really liking it but want my accessory outlet back. Looking to install the hardwire kit but instead of running the wire everywhere was wondering: What fuse are the map lights on, and what rating is it? Does that circuit stay live all the time or does it shut down after the car has been off for a pre-defined amount of time? With the hardwire kit you can enable a time-lapse mode while parked, so you see if anyone messes with the car while you are away. If I could wire it in the done light circuit it would save a lot of tucking things away hassle. (But require splicing/soldering which I have no problem doing. )
The fuse cover maps out the connections. Mine is not always on, but given the battery issues I did not want to try.
