Nope. Seems to be charging/discharging now as it was when I got it....
I drive mostly highway so maybe that has a lot to do with it. I've noticed that those that drive
a lot of city driving seem to have more problems with the hybrid battery...

Finally, installed the new 225/45-17s that were sitting in my garage for a few months. They replaced the 215s.

I have those same wheels. Did you need spacers for it to fit in the Prius?

Any side shot of it on the car?

I installed turn signals in my mirrors that I purchased from MIT through Ebay. These are the Avest scrolling arrow lights. I ran mine to the parking light and puddle light. I really like that the puddle light automatically comes on when the car is locked and the fob gets in

I'm trying to install these, but I can't figure out how to remove the OEM bulbs from their sockets. No problem getting to them. I just don't want to ruin the sockets. The one video found was not helpful in regards to this step. Thanks!

These K&N high flow filters are controversial. Will they make more power? Probably not, but even if so, probably negligible. Will you save time and money by re-using the air filter? Probably not, given the time to wash and re-oil it and paper Toyota filters offer better filtration and are not expensive. There are filtration test results out there that show these have poor performance. They allow more air flow by using larger openings but that allows more dirt to get by the filter. Dyno tests showing more power, maybe 5-10% are likely within the dyno error range and you are really gaining nothing. Will your butt dyno say you have more power with this filter? Yes, but it's all in your mind. My thought is to go back to Toyota air filters, your engine will thank you.

No, I have done my research, and used these in the past. They do work.

I did not get the K & N for increased power, but for the 2 to 4% overall improved fuel economy.

This filter is an investment in my vehicle.

I can take it out and clean it when needed, and be back on the road.

This filter provides a great return on investment..

If you don't agree with me that is fine. I respect your opinion.

    Peace,

    M.

So I was on vacation last week and decided to perform some sound proofing on my car. I bought the STP material from Amazon and would highly recommend it. If sitting in the back seat the car is completely silent, even when driving on gravel. I acquired some insulation from a coworker and attached it to the inside of my doors with a 3M spray adhesive. The door panels are a tight fit at first. I even removed all of the door speakers and placed the STP inside the doors. Although very affective this was probably my least favorite repair I’ve performed on my Prius.

A few months ago I purchased a set of the Prius Pluss rims off of Ebay along with some Michelin Primacy MXM4 215/45R17 tires. I also installed RS-R springs the same weekend. I still haven’t decided if I’m gonna tint the windows or not.

Most recent big thing I did is wrap my headliner in suede. Obviously need to do the all the grayish/tan stuff, but the heat sucks. Also opened my phv headlights for a 4th time. IMG_20200817_155443_072.jpg 20200812_164451.jpg 20200816_124951.jpg IMG_20200825_115008_959.jpg

If you search here on Prius Chat you will find a couple of different really detailed write ups on installing the turn signal lights. The passenger side is pretty easy. I only made two connections on the passenger side. The red wire from the light needs to be connected to the green turn light as shown below. This is located behind the cover on the lower passenger side. The second picture just shows the black ground wire that goes to a Chassis or frame ground. The White and black puddle wires along with the blue wire from the light I just ran behind the dash and over to the drivers side.

On the drivers side I removed the lighting and mirror switch panel and tied both blue wires from the lights to the brown parking light wire. You have another black wire from the light that needs to go to another chassis or frame ground on the drivers side. The red wire from the light needs to be connected to the yellow turn signal wire in the lower left panel. The final step is where my install differed from others. I removed the drivers side A pillar and at the top of the pillar right next to the air bag I tied into the blue ground wire for the puddle light. You will then connect both black wires from the puddle light to this blue wire. I used the large red wire shown in picture four. Then you just connect both white wires from the puddle light to this red wire. I think the entire repair probably took me about eight hours. I just took my time and loomed all of the wires and enjoyed the repair. I also used a fish tape to run the wires behind the back of the dash so they are not seen at all.Running the wires through the rubber door grommets was quit easy even with loom on them.Hope this helps.

98k service included oil change, spark plugs & tire rotation.
To do later, drain and refill transmission at 100k with Eneos ATF
