    Hi All,

I searched the forum and no one seems to give a direct answer to the best cell phone holder.

I am in search for one with these requirements:

    1. does not block vents
    2. Cannot use the cd slot type as my Prius doesn't have a CD slot
    3. No need for "wireless" charging
    4. I tried the silicone mat one to put on the Prius dash but it didn't stick well

I like the Nimbus one but I don't want to put a magnet piece on the my phone or case. I've seen someone put the magnetic plate on a cell phone holder and placed it on the nimbus holder...that mightt solve the issue...but no idea what cell phone holder they used

Checked out proclip but don't want to spend $50 for a cell phone holder.

Next idea is to buy a suction type one to put on the left small front quarter window. Anyone have a good recommendation for that?

    Thanks!

Will a cupholder mount fit your needs, or is the visual angle and distance all wrong?

I like to find stuff for a really low price... So my tip is to go to Ross Dress for Less... Their phone section has phone holders in the $10 range that you can try. And if it doesn't end up being the one you like, it didn't cost much to find out.

I bought a few off amazon for like $12-$15. Trying those first and returning if I don’t like. Amazon is the new Costco. Lol

I'll never give the corrupt evil doers at Amazon a single penny... They're a monopoly with more power than most nation's governments. They need to be broken up or nationalized so their competitors can again thrive. Yale Law Journal - Amazon’s Antitrust Paradox

I have the silicon mat, but it took me "3" tries to get one that was really "soft" silicon...
the ones that didn't work, work pretty stiff, and more plastic-ish, than jelly/soft silicon...and they slid off the dash..
or you could put double back tape on the back side of those and don't have to push/stick it to the dash, but it might keep it from slipping.

I got this instead! Aukey from Amazon. It is perfect so far. Doesn’t block vents. IMG_0032.jpg

I was gonna say Quadlock (made in Australia). I recently bought one (and the matching case) and it is SOLID. Literally don't have to worry about it coming lose for anything. Doesn't budge an inch. And if you do happen to get a phone that's wireless charging compatible, they sell an add-on that you can swap the catch with on the mount so you have wireless charging for your phone when you mount it.
Honestly I'm pretty sure that of I ended up in an accident at high speed it would still be attached to the dash.

I have the nimbus mount. I put the magnet between the phone and my phone case. You can't tell it's there and it holds good. I've tried three different mounts and the nimbus is by far the best.
