Could have at least lied about using an experimental gravity generator and then have it fail at the end of the scene - but I guess they were trying to keep things as genuinely realistic as possible, and not overdo the science fiction technology bit - which is why the movie still holds up so well today iPhone 6s +
We rewatched it recently, and both picked up on a trippy bit: doctor what's his name on the space station, talking with the Russians. The conversation between the two guys gets increasingly tense an' terse. Finally there's a long pause, then one of the female Russians kinda claps her hands, says something light, snaps them out of it.
