key fob not detected

    battery has been replaced. it does open and unlock when i press the buttons. any suggestions?

    Did you check the pushbutton below the dash to disable smartkey?

    That only disables the proximity (SKS) system. Remote lock/unlock would still work regardless of the Key button.
    Which battery? If it is the fob battery, did you place it the correct way up? The correct way is engraved on the inside of the fob along with the correct battery model number.
