So, I was on my third Uber Eats delivery, when after making a turn, the car turned off. There was no red triangle of death, no check engine light, nothing. I was able to steer the car to the side of the road, the brake were also still working. While I waited for AAA tow truck to arrive, I tried a couple of things. I turned on the Emergency lights. The high beams worked as they should have. It is also worth noting that as I was coasting I put the driver window down. I pushed the power button and nothing happened. It does not go into Auxiliary mode nor does it start at all. The dashboard shows when a door is open, when the lights are on, and also when I had the emergency lights on. When I hit the brake I hear the normal electric sound, of the car that usually indicates change of pressure in the brakes. I was able to get the car towed to where I live, it is now on my driveway. The only issue I had with this car is the Dashboard lights would rarely not turn on. Other than that, I do not have any issues with the car itself. The car is 2006 Gen 2, with 166K miles, it has a clean title. I bought the car like three months ago.
Right, AM2 fuse, in particular. Also, check the pictures and instructions in Post #4 of this recent thread, describing the same symptoms.
Either the pump or maybe you ran out of gas. What does the screen above the radio say? The mfd screen. Does it have the red outline of a car icon in the upper left corner? The dashboard is called the combo meter on here. There's few youtube's about it. It starts by just going in and out and progresses to the point where you will not be able to turn the car off without removing the 12 volt battery supply in the trunk. There's a youtube on how to replace it called Prius Combo and a member here matt@texashybrids sells rebuilt combo's. I have one working for years now. Not sure what the price is now pm him.
