I won't win any popularity polls here with this one. I don't drive it much, but I have 1969 Chevelle 396. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/559523/1 I figure between this and the Prius I am an average polluter of the world.
2000 VW Golf TDI running B100 Biodiesel. No major repairs aside from routine maintanence, 135000 miles on her, and she runs like a top! Averages about 40 to 45 mpg. The Prius is just incredible, but I gotta admit, I'll be REALLY sad when the Golf goes.
89 Toyota Pickup - hubby's daily driver 99 Jeep Wrangler w/ 2" lift & 33's -- the Mud Buggy 86 Ford Mustang GT -- hubby's current "project" car another 86 Mustang aka " The part car" 78 Triumph Bonneville -- hubby's cantankerous bike still have the 02 Jeep Liberty on loan from my aunt, who bought it so I could buy the Prius.
here's our other babies... 05 Mini Cooper S 06 Honda Odyssey EX-L 04 Lexus RX330 our little workhorse is our 06 Prius which carries the all our errands around town during the weekend. The wife takes it to work daily since she uses the carpool lane to save 1/2 hour 1 way to work..... can't stress how much that saves her in stress.....
Nice to see how many gas guzzlers that all of the Prius owners here also own. Just goes to prove we're not all green obsessed. My other vehicles are: 2006 Dodge Ram SRT10 (it's a 500 HP truck w/a V10 Viper engine) 2002 Toyota MR2 Spyder 2001 Dodge Duragno SLT (5.9L V8) Bought the Prius specifically to offset the cost of my gas guzzling Dodge truck and SUV and assume that other gas guzzler owners did the same.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Inthewind @ Oct 4 2006, 01:53 PM) </div> Sweet! Do you have enough time to do some cross country touring? We used to have a 2000 K1200LTC, albeit no AutoCom at the time (though it's one of the best purchases we've made since, esp. for bike to bike), but sold it when we moved to CO and were riding mostly locally... and 2mi of dirt road on a 950lb bike wasn't fun. Aside from our Prius, our forms of transportation are: 1) '86 Toyota 4Runner -- the other commuter car when needed, which isn't often (and almost done rebuilding a 1986 4Runner Turbo to replace it) 2) '86 Ford F250 -- home projects, firewood, etc. 3) '02 BMW R1150GS 4) '03 BMW F650GS 5) some bikes (the commute in is fine, but 40 miles back and 3000ft elevation gain is rough, I've only ridden to work once...) We average 51mpg in the Prius, and nearly always commute in together, so we probably average 80mpg across the board!
'99 Mazda Protege, my commuter car since Prius is wife's daily driver. '01 Saturn L Wagon hobby car. '05 Mustang convertible, hey everyone in Calif should own a convertible.
