Hello I have just received 18-20 years tail lights. but I dont have harness and bulbs.. what will be the cheapest way to make them lighted? thanks
Cut the necessary harness out of a crashed late model in a junkyard, then splice that onto your existing harness. You'd be able to get the bulbs and bulb holder bases at the same time. car-part.com is a matchmaking service that ought to be able to lead you to an appropriate nearby junkyard.
the main problem is that I am not in US. I have 2012 wiring but it looks different. also, bulbs have very strange visual (diods)
Wish I knew what to tell you. The lighting (and the wiring feeding it) can be different from one region to the next due to differences in traffic laws. Is the car a US model or other? Were the new lamps meant for a US car or other? There may not be a plug-n-play solution, you may need to do some electrical detective work and custom splicing.
Sir, lightening are the same. My car is made for Japan domestic Market, but all components are same. there are difference between 12' and 18' i found this article 2019 Toyota Prius c Tail Light Harness (Left, Right, Rear). Socket and Wire, Combination Lamp - 8155552D50 | Germain Toyota, Naples FL I asked them if this wires are suitable for my tail lights but there is no answer from them...
USA dealers don't usually have any access to technical information about the JDM versions, so they would have no way to know. Good luck and let us know if you figure it out!
