I also went with the Generals for my 17 inch wheels. They were rated very quite and long tread life plus a $50 dollar rebate. That's about $200 cheaper than the Michelins. Observations: They are a lot quieter than the OEM Bridgestones. Gas mileage is a bit lower, but may improve in time.
Based of this thread I am looking at the General Altimax RT 43's and the the Yokohama Avid Ascend LX. With how much milage is on my vehicle im not sure if its worth it to change to a 15 at this point but am open. Please continue to let me know suggestions. I will probably make a purchase in September or October at this point hopefully so am trying to do my due diligence in research. thanks!
