Hi! Trying to remove my reverse beep in a 2011 Prius. Seeing that you need an adapter to do it? Is the picture I attached the right product (ODB2 Male to Female)? Also, is there a free app to do this? Or is Carista my option? Thanks!
My dealer turned off the backup alarm for free when I came in for state inspection. The noise bothers them as much as it bothers us.

There are more steps than that and I think that is for the gen 2 (2009 and earlier) Prius. You need a bluetooth enabled OBDII adapter like Carista. The male to female one is just an extension, won't work. By the way, "turning off" the reverse beep actually changes it from multiple beeps to one beep.
And to be really clear, not all Bluetooth-enabled OBDII adapters are compatible with the Carista app.
You don't need any adapter. This is the procedure I used to disable the reverse beep on my 2-010 Prius! Warning The Prius' reverse beep exists to keep you and others safer as you operate the vehicle. Strongly consider this before deciding to disable it.
Dr Prius (requires OBD bluetooth adapter, Carista or others) can do it too. It's around $5 to unlock (have it, can't remember exact cost)? I wouldn't do it myself, need that beep reminder. It's not that effective though, I've lost track once or twice. Prefer a traditional automatic shifter, never got mixed up with those.
