I want to break into the center console of my '16 Prius 2 to add some USB data and charging ports. Is there a guide to doing it or a list of gotcha's for a gen 4?
It takes 60 seconds. Just pull out the black plastic that is surrounding the console. Use a flat head screwdriver and gently pull out. Did it in my car when tried to find the source of that buzzing noise. After that little piece comes out.its all easy to disassemble the whole dash. Not like the prior model
It is just that easy: Open the center console and push a little forward Remove the piece, and the rest of the console just pops up and out. There are wires attached for the USB/Aux port and 12v charging port, obviously...
