My understanding is that underlying software as well as some hardware are distinctively different between English based head units in North American Toyota cars (and maybe some other regions) and that of Japanese version sold only in Japan. There is no other country using Japanese as an official language other than Japan. It maybe possible to switch the head unit and software, but I think it will be very difficult and costly.
I want to ask where the voice commands data is stored in 11.6 stereo unit hard disc ? or in sd card ? Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Ah, gotcha. Interesting question! My assumption would be that it’s all “built-in,” so to speak; not in any form of removable medium.
Thanks for ur reply i think theres no way to change japnese into english voice commands But there is a way, me and my son age 12 trying to learn japnese language and today we have turned ac on off volume up down and manymore ,thanks prius prime for teaching us japnese language.
