I'm new to PriusChat although I've been a Gen 2 owner since 2008. Currently I'm on my second Gen 2. My question: Will a table 36" x 36" x 29.5" fit in my cargo area? I want to buy an antique pub table in a city that's about 70 miles away. I'd rather not get there and discover it won't fit, and I don't want to rent a vehicle if I can avoid it. I've always had great success moving items in my Prius. Btw, two chairs are included with the table. I want to make a single trip if possible. Thanks.

I don't have "Goofy" with me at the moment but that's a relatively small table and I'm thinking that I've hauled 3' square boxes before. Pro Tip: Yank off the legs. That makes less tetrisy. Get whomever has the table now to take a picture of the legs where they join the table, or ask them if they know what fasteners are used or 'maybe' even still have the 4-mm allen wrench or whatever came with the table. (I always fasten them to the furniture in an inconspicuous place after putting them together.) Good Luck.
According to the dealer, the legs can't be removed. Thanks for your suggestion. Who or what is "Goofy?" Or should I already know?
It will NOT fit. With the hatch open, there is 27" from the battery, to the hatch hinge area opening. Side doors also too small to fit through.
Thanks for your replies. Unfortunately, the dealer just emailed me to say the table has been sold to another buyer.
