Did some very important inverter service today at Hybridpit. If your Prius has 100k miles or more you need to change out the inverter coolant. Remember this is different then the engine coolant, but that should also be done at 100k miles. If you need this done and are in the OC you should have Hybridpit help. Had a great weekend at Hybridpit. Roger installed some very cool sequential turn signals, parking lights and puddle lights into a new set of mirrors to go with my Panda theme. Great job as always!

 

While I was at Hybridpit today some lucky customer got a new I-Shifter installed. Very cool, Hybridpit is a candy store for grownups!!

 

That’s the shifter I wanted, but never could find at a price that works with my financial situation. So I settled in with the Garax brand push button.

Their website is garbage and they overcharge. They should install the products they sell for free. There are better Prius owners on this website you can purchase from. These guys are just money grubs with a fancy business logo and a website that occasionally works.

A rather harsh assessment I admit especially since I’ve only gotten quotes from them over the years and never actually did business there. Also I meant nothing personal against any of them; I respect them and they’re all very nice and professional. I think my point though was that at the end of the day they’re still a business like everything else. They’ve just found a way to capitalize on the hybrid marketing. Take that away and they’re just a regular automotive place. No need for special BBQs.

This forum is a great resource rather for me. Between PriusChat and regular car shops I’ve been a happy Prius owner for almost 10 years.

As for prices, how many brick and mortar shops do you know that’s cater to Japanese parts for hybrids in the States? You got to pay to play!

Not sure where you get your information, but these guys have helped out Prius Owners in SoCal with many repairs and installs of Parts at extremely fair pricing. It’s extremely wrong for you to post such an disparaging post about a business that has helped fellow Priuschat members and has saved them a ton of money over the years. Oh by the way it is a business, and businesses are still allowed to make a profit in this country, even a small profit, I think!

 

Definitely much more than a specialty shop dealing with hybrids for the Prius specifically but who else has a shop that has the knowledge access and parts on hands for aftermarket modifications for the Prius. No other shop in the states Specializes modifying this thing

 

And BBQ's are always a good thing!!

Well it's been awhile since I've been on the chat but Hybrid Pit is definitely the toy shop for modding your Pri. Roger was very helpful with some products I wanted to get and even installed the same day especially when we literally drove down from NorCal that morning. The guys hanging out were definitely cool and very friendly not to mention their beautiful rides. I was bummed that I missed the GTG in the afternoon because I overslept fro my nap so I can return and meet other members. But I highly recommend visiting Hybrid Pit, I know I'll be back!

 

I guess I missed meeting up. I roll by Saturday, big crowd... Maybe next time
