Hello all, Sorry if this has been addressed in other threads, but I wanted to know if the standard Toyota warranty provides for roadside assistance. We opted out of all warranty 'upgrades' at the time of purchase for a couple reasons. 1) Didn't think we really needed the extended warranty as we will likely trade the vehicle within three years, and 2) We always have the option of adding a factory extended warrantly later, provided the original warranty remains in effect. Do we need AAA coverage or does Toyota offer a roadside assistace program with new vehicles?
They used to, but discontinued the service starting in '06. from your profile, it looks like you have an '06, so there wouldn't be roadside assistance with your car.
<_< It depends on whether you ordered the Option A (About $1,000) which includes: The Extra Mile Option Package A -Glass Break Sensor -First Aid Kit -Cargo Net -Fabric Guard -Carpet Mat Set (5 Pc) -Custom Tape Stripe -Wheel Locks -Mud Guards -Carpet Floor Mats -Rear Cargo Mat -Road Hazard Tire Warranty -(3 Years / 36,000 Miles) -Roadside Assistance (3 Yrs/36,000 Miles -Extra Mile Extended Life Tires -(6 Years / 100,000 Mile -Rear Bumper Protector This info was extracted directly from the Toyota "Build Your Car" site.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Charles Suitt @ Oct 5 2006, 08:59 AM) </div> That information is only applicable to vehicles distributed by Gulf States Toyota. That region includes Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, and Texas.
We bought the car in Florida and had NO options included, other than the package 3 upgrades. We didn't even buy floor mats. I guess I'll be getting AAA coverage. Thanks for the help!
