I was eating lunch in my car and a message came up about there being an update on my stock head unit with nav for my 2018 c four. I downloaded it and clicked details and one of the apps it loaded was alexa! I set it up and linked it with my account, now you can use alexa hands free! Prime music too, it shows the artist and stuff on screen. Anyone else gotten this update yet? not sure when it came out, it was an over the air update through my linked phone. One annoying thing is that you seem to have to open the entune app every time you first want to use it, to allow mic access I guess. kind of annoying but better than nothing I guess.
I got the update and it's not working for me. I have a 2018 PP+, and I wasn't exactly yearning for more badly-executed voice response, but thought I would try this. Alexa pops up on my screen, and I touch the button or say Alexa over and over and nothing happens. No idea what to do next. Yes, I'm signed into Alexa on my phone. No help there. Would love a suggestion before I just uninstall it and pretend it never happened.
Where did you get the update from. I have a 2013 with Entune and I don't see any new updates after 2016 on the Toyota software website.
