(2007) P3000, P0AC0, P0AFA, power cuts out, and negative cell voltage?

    I'm having this recurring issue where the car occasinally will get the red triangle, among a few other lights. Then the transmission starts to feel 'heavy?' like if it was stuck in first gear, at higher rpms it will actually cut out.

    Dr Prius shows the cells with 3 a bit low, then suddenly 2 will drop as well, then both of them drop to completely negative of what they were before, see the voltage difference of 30+.

    A couple weeks ago it seemed to be relatively normal. Average voltage difference was usually between 0.09 and 0.29.

    This has me thinking it must be some sort of loose connection or maybe something wrong with the bus bars. I don't have much electrical or prius experience so advice is very much appreciated!     maybe corrosion in the battery case or connectors. you really should read the codes when you get the triangle, it's a general warning, and nothing more

    sounds like some cells are getting weak or maybe corrosion or a combination.

    Block voltages jumping around and going negative are a sure indictment of the bundle of skinny sense wires used to sense those voltages, as you correctly guessed. From the other codes, I might guess there's a wire to the current sensor donut that's in similar shape.
