Driving without cat. converter

I just got my cat. converter stolen from my 08 Prius.
I know a good shop about 2-3 miles away.
is it risky or cause damage to the vehicle to drive it without the cat for that distance ?
and yes I know how it sounds!

So what parts do I need. I got a universal cat, o2 sensor, 2bolts and springs and a pipe gasket.
But not sure how the cat is going to connect to the engine. What's that part called ?
Am I missing anything else?
Planning to take it to a muffler shop.
