Anyone have an experience with drive quality, difference in mileage, electric mileage, etc? Just ordered these because i want to plant the prius prime more to the ground and have better feeling on the road not feeling like i'm going to get flung by the car.
Ride quality is definitely lost. Maybe 20%? Noticeable bumpier/stiffer, but it still rides well. I have not noticed any improvements or disprovements in mileage since installation. As far as handling, hasn't improved much either. Will possibly need stiffer anti-sway bars in the future.
This posting/statement is based on a 17x7.5" wheel and a 215/45-17 tire; I consider it to be perfectly accurate. Aftermarket Wheel Fitment Guidelines | Page 11 | PriusChat Rob43
I could throw out an answer like 9" or 9.5", but there are a lot of issues as you go wider and wider. So it really becomes a question of how much time you or your shop has on getting it right...this assumes you ordered the correct wheels with the correct ET the first time around. Wider also translates into decreased MPG's. Rob43
