haven’t drove the car in a month. Started it today to let it run. This buzzing noise is now present and will not go away.
A lot of PriusChatters post videos about this-and-that sound, and almost invariably I can barely hear anything, or have to ask "is it that slight noise at 26 seconds? I think I hear it." Not in this case; what the hell is that?!?
the radio? but seriously, your info says 2005. what year 3rd gen, and how many mies? i would charge up the 12v and see what happens
It sounds like the key alarm when you try to walk away with the car still turned on, or when you open the driver's door with the car running. I'd begin by slamming the door a couple times and checking to see if the dome light is responding properly. And, what was that flashing red indicator?
I drove the car a few times around the block noise is still there. The red light indicator is for the parking brake. I’ll try it opening and slamming all doors, hood and rear hatch tomorrow. I’ll check the dome light tomorrow also.
Pull the error codes, I suspect it might be the ABS system which could be a small part or the main module,,,,
