Likely the fastest Prius in NC Out of curiosity, what are you basing this on? Aren't they all computer mph limited?
Sorry I'm not a 0-60, quarter mile or top end speed guy... Was referring to time from point a to point b with turns involved... this car corners like a 2,500 pound racecar
No sir, and not aware of an SCCA series involving Prii but that sure would be amusing. I raced w NASA in a Porsche Boxster and a Nissan 370Z. This Prius has been my commute car for the last few years. Keeps me out of trouble with the law. In fact, have never been pulled over in this one.
Should be 31 pictures in the top most link (IMGUR). Let me know if that's not working for you? Maybe a block on your browser?
Ooops, didn't see the little white arrow!! It all there. You loaded it up right. And the car is beautiful!!
^ thank you! so much fun to drive... really hoping the buyer gives a shit about all the work I've done :/
^ All depends upon what you're used to. I believe the spring rate is around 220 pounds per inch but with the short lever arm to wheel, the "wheel rate" is fairly stiff vs how 220 pounds would feel on other cars. I don't advocate this reseller but you can see specs here TEIN VSQ08-C1AS3 | TEIN FLEX Z Coilover Kit Toyota Prius G, S, L ZVW30 FF 2009.05-2011.12 JPN They are 1-way adjustable so you can dial in a bit of softness through the dampers to soften up the ride a little. Some comparisons: Softer than my old race car by far (800 lb springs) Softer than BMW m3 F80 About the same as BMW 2012 135 Slightly stiffer than Porsche Macan S Stiffer than Audi A7 by a good amount Stiffer than stock Prius by a LOT It's tight enough that there is no slack when shifting weight on the car or at least I can barely notice it... but loose enough to soak up mid corner bumps. Also loose enough that your teeth won't fall out if you hit a speed bump too fast. I was commuting with this from NC to Atlanta for a year and it was fantastic on the highway... only a few stretches where there where potholes and parts of SC w construction. Driving around town in NC, it’s fantastic everywhere except where potholes and speedbumps. Overall, I think this is perfect for the vehicle if you enjoy a more planted feel and want to corner at speed. If anything, I think the kit could be even stiffer in the rear. Maybe a 350lb spring rate instead of 220lb. I also have a lot of other suspension gear on this car that increases lateral and front/rear stiffness. A heavier front sway than stock and a rear sway bar where none exists stock. All of those combine to create a much more BMW like feel to the car and they keep the tires in an optimal angle for traction in corners. That help?
