2010: I bought an eBay clock spring, but it only has two wire harness sockets and the original has three. Can anyone point me to the correct clock spring that isn't $300 or more? I assume the third socket is for the steering wheel buttons, which is what I want to fix.
don't use chinese clock springs, they don't last. if you don't want a pricey oem, you're better off with low mile salvage if you can find one
I get that, but for the price, I could replace the clock spring 50 times and still save money. It takes less than 20 minutes to remove and reassemble.
Soni went to eBay to look for used ones. But what I found was steering angle sensors sold separately. Can I remove the angle sensors and install it on my new one?
The manual doesn't advise it, but that probably doesn't mean there's no way that can be figured out to do it successfully. There have been reports here of people having trouble getting successfully through the calibration after clockspring replacements though, so success might not be guaranteed.
The Steering Angle Sensor is attatched to the clock spring and you must put it on your new clock spring I thought I had got the wrong part but it is two separate parts that are joined. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
