While one side did seem to do the trick, I decided to go ahead with both.

One might experience some torque, and both should last longer working together (maybe?)

Hard to tell from just a side pix sorry in advanced. Install was just a set of black housing headlights and LED smoked iJDMtoy DRLs....and a quick body wipe down...

I've done like the Carolina Squating trucks and only installed half a lift kit. Finally received my hood shocks after almost two months and decided to try like some people have done and only install one. It keeps the hood up, so I'm fine with that.

That's pretty nifty! What does the kit cost? Looks simple to install.
It would be a lot easier!

    Just installed JDM-type rain guards.

    Amazon item B009WUIRJK

I couldn't have got them positioned properly without a pair of helping hands, and when I was installing the first one I found that I had left only barely enough of the peel-off protecting layer of the double-stick tape and had to open the door and grab the tiny projecting bit with long=nose pliers. That protecting layer tends to curl back into position onto the adhesive surface.

You get what you pay for. I use WellVisor guards. None of those problems, and they also look better (IMO). They do cost almost twice as much...50 bucks a set, shipped.

The ones I see at the PriusChat shop use the same 3M double-stick tape, so I don't see what advantage they would have over the ones I bought.

And the extra pair of hands were just to hold one end in position while I started peeling tape back at the other end.

271 mile joyride @ 64.6 MPG, not too shabby for 149,000 miles. That means 18 miles til Toyota pops the cork on champagne

About 11,000 miles from the OCC, total volume about a shot glass size. Plastic zip ties still holding up nicely.
