JBL Audio, Galaxy S9+, and Dolby Atmos in Prime Advanced

    I did a search on this in the forums before posting so I guess I am the First.

    I have a 17 Prime Advanced, and recently upgraded from Galaxy S8+ to Galaxy S9+.

    Boy was I not disappointed.

    I enabled the Dolby Atmos to Auto on the Phone and it makes a HUGE difference in the JBL Audio.

    It is MUCH Louder now and the Audio Quality is AS GOOD if not BETTER than it was.

    So if you want to maximize your JBL, get this phone! It will rock your world with the Volume on 30 and running Spotify. I made sure the Bluetooth Volume was all the way up as well.

    This is just a tip if you want to get the most out of your audio with your Prime.

    The S8+ Does not support Dolby Atmos. That is why I made this post. I upgraded from the S8+ to the S9+.

    This sounds just like it's the phone's equalizer setting - not something the vehicle is specifically compatible with. Good to know for S9 owners though! I'm sure other devices with "one touch" equalizer settings like can achieve similar results. But it really depends on the listener's ear, one man's good audio can sound muddy to another. :)

    With your guy's JBL speakers, does the music/bass shake up your door and make a rattle type sound? If I apply pressure on the door, it kind of muffles it. Was wondering if anyone else had the same issue. I'm definitely enjoying the JBL sound system tho!

    I have a new Prius Prime Plugin with the JBL 10 Speaker Sound System which sounded fairly good but I had the speakers switched out for good quality Component speakers from Focal.
    Unfortunately the new speakers demand more power and I've been informed by the installer I will need to move to a more powerful Amp.
    Has anyone switched out the Amp in their Prime and what would you Recommend/Use?

    I actually switched back to Iphone 11 Pro Max 256GB and it has Dolby Atmos, along with a Car2PlayAir Wireless Apple Car Play Adapter. Love this setup in my Prime Limited! I dont think I will ever switch out the audio setup since its Green Edge Energy Saving. Could effect your Battery Range.
