The navigation and climate control on my 2007 Prius touring does not respond. My 2006 level 8 everything works fine. does anyone have an idea of what might be wrong I recently purchased a 2008 and just got around to playing with the navigation system and climate control via voice command everything else works properly. Any help would be appreciated thank you.

    Hi and welcome to PriusChat.

The voice control is an option (it would seem). If it not installed, you will get some message like "This command is not available" (or something like that, I can't remember the exact phrase). Is it doing this? Or nothing at all? Does it work for other systems – Telephone, Audio?

With what does it respond when you say, "Command help" or "Command list"?

system could not detect the voice please rephrase your command

I have also tried to check the microphone level and it indicates no reception do you happen to know where the mic is plugged in at on the head unit? I do have a spare donor car a 2006 with Bluetooth that I know the microphone works my thought is to remove it and replace it in this vehicle but today it's 108 degrees out so I think I'll wait until Tuesday morning thanks for your assistance let me know if you can figure out anything on your end

I just brave the hundred and ten degrees heat and went out to my donor Prius removed the microphone module actually the entire light assembly took it in plugged it in on my 07 touring same thing so it's probably somewhere in the wiring between the microphone and where it's plugged in on the head unit or the MFD just have to locate that plug

No, not off the top of my head, but this question is answered somewhere in the Gen 2 forums. I can't research it right now, but if you use the "Advanced Search" (by clicking the "more..." button on the search pop-up, enter your search string (you might have to try several times!) and limit your search to the Gen 2 Forums (and their children), that should yield the best results.

Look for posts where adding the mic is discussed.

    Good luck.
