Thanks for the welcome! I've done some reading on the issue and it's put me between a rock and a hard place. The wife really wants the solar roof, but all of the dealers we've visited so far want well above the blue book value of their cars and then there's the potential for head gasket failure with cars with higher mileage... Either I end up overpaying or potentially end up with a costly repair in a year or two
it is a difficult situation for gen3 used car seekers. and most dealers don't even know there is an egr clogging issue, as toyota hasn't sent a tsb out.
