Excellent compromise. For as long as she is happy with it. I'm betting on mysteriously finding that bumper sticker or magnetic paw added in the future.
What would be the problem with a cat sticker on the hatch glass, as low on the driver side as possible? Completely removable when time to resell. On my liftback, there is a significant section of glass that is covered inside, so a well selected sticker won't even block any visibility from inside. Left and right. Though they are only about half the width of a standard bumper sticker, so some trimming or careful selection required. I don't have a 'c' handy to compare.
After reading your thread title, I was relieved that this was really about modifying the car. That's usually easier than modifying the girlfriend.
If that happens, the official Toyota Dog logo sticker (diameter 100 mm), sold in Japan under part number 08231-00510, is listed as compatible with the Toyota Aqua, and I’m sure it would work just as well on a Prius c.
