As much as we all love our white accents in the prime, I pulled it off the car to wrap it in carbon fiber textured vinyl. Somone else did it already and it gave me the idea to just use the part around the shifter as opposed to buying another thing and throwing it on there. Surprisingly easy process of getting it on and off the car. Wrapping it took about 30 minutes although it's not perfect, it's good enough for me. Unscrew the shifter ball thing. Left loose-y. It's got a lot of threads. Flat piece of rigid plastic or the flat and thin screw driver. Just kinda carefully wedge it under the bottom center of it and slide it around the edges. It'll just pop out with very light effort. There are 2 pinch clips to undo. Pinch them(not lift) with your fingers. Freedom! The wrap I got off Amazon. I think the brand was 'Vivid'. It doesn't bubble easily so it's good for me(an amateur). I started in the middle and worked out to the edges. From the edges to the corners. I used a blow drier to heat it up slightly and stretch it around the corners. I pressed the buttons down and used a razor to cut around the buttons. Then went around and heated/pressed the edges in. Putting it back in the car is easier than taking it out. Just snap some clips back in and press the whole thing back into place. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
