I just finished installing a new ac compressor (electric), condenser & radiator in a 07 Prius. I planned on having a shop add the oil & refrigerant (I pulled the AC fuse so the compressor would not run while dry). Now the shop is telling me that I need to add the oil before they'll charge the system. Any thoughts on how I can accomplish this the easiest way? Is my only option to remove the compressor and add the oil to it?
Does anyone know how much oil I need to add (again it's a new compressor & condenser, and I had the system evacuated before starting the repairs), to the compressor? From what I've seen in the manuals its around 4 floz. Also, where is the best place to add the oil to the compressor, once I remove it from the vehicle? Should I pour it in the suction end or discharge end of the compressor?
    Thanks for any advice!

MAKE SURE you are using the correct oil!
You cannot use regular A/C compressor oil, it has to be specifically formulated for hybrid cars.

Yup. The factory ND-11 oil is pricey too.
