Evening all... does anyone know what these headlights are or where to get them - they have that Audi led look to them - veeeery nice
Sry, my wife was a rural postal carrier for a while, and we've owned some right-hand drive vehicles. Look at the steering wheel....I would venture a guess that this is not a North American version
It’s American Yes... Anyone know if these lights above are the lights in question - I see a lot of different styles on eBay... looking for that LED look for the front end to spruce it up a little Also seen some angel halo lights that look sweet - still unsure about these though.
I believe the owner modified the headlight units themselves. The 2006-2009 Prius have a set of fake dots on the headlight units between the indicators and the headlights so the owner must've taken it apart, drilled holes into those fake dots and added a strip of lights.
If that is the case the end result is pretty sweet... I’ve also seen tiny blue “side“ light led’s that you can put inside the normal light casing to give your car that updated look - im not sure if that can be done within the Prius headlight assembly - would definitely like to buy some updated headlights and give it an upgraded front end.
Similar to this... not sure if it’s legal in the US? Anyone have any experience with this kind of thing?
Sure...in the vast majority (if not ALL) states, it is illegal to have blue or red lights on the front, top or bottom of the car, including the cute little LEDs. I'm not certain about the sides. I've never had any desire to put any blue or red light on any of my vehicles, because with all the weird sh*t going on over the last several years, the last thing I want to do is have someone accidently think I'm law enforcement or emergency services. pretty sure some states even have blue lights being illegal anywhere on the car, including inside if they're visible from outside the car. The best thing you can do is to not go by advice provided over the internet or given by anyone selling the stuff. Contact your local law enforcement and ask. I'm sure they can provide the correct answer. Then you just have to worry about driving out of state....
I just found this: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3189225/2007-toyota-prius/ - it looks like it is a Japanese modified Prius Hey TMR - thanks for that... yeah I like the idea but the last thing I want is to be stopped by the police for it.
